Developmental Assessment & Monitoring
I consider the child’s cognitive, language, motor, social and emotional development as a whole, according to their age and individual characteristics. Starting from the family’s observations and questions, I identify where development can be supported, and guide the family towards the right specialist areas when needed.
Attention, Planning & Everyday Skills
I work on the skills everyday life and learning depend on: managing attention, planning, getting organised, starting a task and staying with it, holding instructions in mind, using time, and regulating behaviour. These are what the literature calls executive functions, and I develop workable strategies with the family to support them in a way that fits the child’s age and needs.
Learning & Educational Development
I look at how a child learns alongside their developmental profile. I guide families on study habits, motivation, arranging the learning environment, academic expectations and individual learning needs — working with the child and their teacher when that helps.
Child Behaviour & Parent Guidance
I treat the behaviours parents find difficult not simply as “unwanted behaviour”, but together with the child’s developmental stage, needs, relationships and environment. With the family I build approaches that support development: age-appropriate expectations, boundaries, routines, transitions, and the parent–child interaction itself.
Screen Use & Healthy Digital Habits
I help families build a digital media routine that suits the child’s age, developmental profile and family life. Beyond screen time we look together at the content, the way it is used, the family’s own habits, and how screens balance against sleep, play, learning, movement and social interaction.
Developmental Stages & Daily Routines
I approach the everyday processes of childhood — sleep, eating, toileting, play, daily transitions and changing routines — from a developmental perspective. Reading the family’s difficulty alongside the child’s stage and context, I help build arrangements that are workable and sustainable in daily life.
Guidance is not diagnosis and not psychotherapy. Where a child’s needs are judged to require assessment in a different field, the family is referred to paediatrics, child and adolescent mental health, psychology, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, or other relevant specialisms.
